Back in February 2014, we decided to check out the Berlin Street Art Meeting at Urban Spree. We’ve been obsessed with street art since we moved to Berlin, so it seemed the perfect place to see what’s up in the city. Turns out, it was a blast!
Walking into Urban Spree felt like stepping into a different world. Every wall was covered in graffiti, telling incredible stories and shouting out the rebellious spirit of Berlin’s street art. People were excitedly buzzing, soaking in the crazy colors and shapes that decorated every inch.
Among all the fantastic art, two names caught our eye: El Bocho and Klub 7. Their stuff, which we loved, hit differently in the lively atmosphere of the Street Art Meeting. El Bocho’s pieces were darkly funny stories of city life, while Klub 7’s collabs showed off the power of artistic teamwork. We were hooked on the details and the stories behind each mural.
The event was more than a gathering—a party celebrating Berlin’s wild creativity. Chatting with other art fans, we felt this relaxed sense of community. We swapped stories, tips, and recommendations with folks who shared our love for rebellious street art.
Our pockets were stuffed with postcards, each a tiny work of art, a piece of the crazy creativity we soaked up that day. Back home, we’re searching for the perfect frames to show off these little masterpieces—each one a reminder of our excellent time that cold Saturday in Berlin.
Looking back, the Berlin Street Art Meeting didn’t just make us love El Bocho and Klub 7 even more—it also made us feel like we’re part of Berlin’s ever-changing street art scene. It wasn’t just an event; it was a deep dive into the city’s artsy soul, an experience that keeps inspiring us and shaping our love for the crazy creativity that Berlin is famous for.
