Mitte used to be rough but now is Berlin’s most posh and chic area of Berlin. The streets in Mitte are filled with art galleries, cool fashion designers, upscale restaurants and the city’s best museums. Of course, the hotels in Mitte will have a higher price tag than Kreuzberg, but we’ll show you the best hotels in Mitte for all pocket sizes. But in case you end this list of hotels in Mitte empty-handed, grab a 25€ discount on Airbnb using our exclusive code.
It doesn’t matter what you’re looking for when you’re planning your trip to Berlin, Mitte is always a good choice since translates into “middle.” Mitte is the middle point of Berlin. And due to Berlin’s history, we don’t have a proper downtown like most destinations.
Berlin was divided and since then, this concept of downtown got lost in time. Mitte is the closest we can get since it is where you can get the best public transport connections. And of course, travel from and to anywhere is easy.
Arriving here from TXL or SXF is as easy as arriving it by train or bus. You’ll be close to the finest restaurants, the best museums, trendy cocktail bars, the coolest clubs, and rooftop pools. Regardless of where they are.

The best hotels in Mitte for all budget sizes
Adlon Hotel in Mitte
Let’s start with the best of the best. Adlon is as traditional and historic as its architecture is fascinating. Hotel Adlon is where Hollywood now sleeps but used to be where Hitler did too.
Back in the days, the hotel served as one of the places the Nazi Party used to get together for social events. During the WWII it was bombed and destroyed and in 1997 was restored. Hotel Adlon is also where the infamous incident with Michael Jackson shaking his baby out of the window happened.
The Circus
The Circus hotel has its own review done by us, and it is on this list because, besides offering hotel rooms, Circus has a hostel option too. Both are located less than 10 meters from the U8 Rosenthalerplatz making it an excellent location for all budget sizes.
Another cool point for the hostel version is that they own the one and only David Hasselhoff Museum inside. Part of the permanent exhibition is a photo of David Hasselhoff with real chest hair. If you dare, you can touch it.
Adina Apartment Hotel Berlin Mitte
This 4-star hotel offers an indoor pool, gym and modern design apartments with air conditioning — all that within a 10-min walk for the central station, Berlin Hauptbahnhof. HighPark by Palmira
HighPark by Palmira is right by Potsdamer Platz. It is within a 15-minute walk of attractions such as the Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial, and Topography of Terror. You’ll also have one of the largest shopping malls in the city by your doorstep, the Mall of Berlin.
All units feature ergonomic furniture, comfortable beds with orthopedic mattresses, free wifi, a small fully equipped kitchen as well as complimentary toiletries. Most units also have a balcony. The view is incredible.
Titanic Gendarmenmarkt Berlin
This luxurious hotel in Mitte features a grill restaurant and a spa with an authentic Turkish bath.
The Titanic Gendarmenmarkt, like the name suggests, is very close to the famous Gendarmenmarkt, one of Berlin’s top attractions. I mean, if you know that Berlin is not even remotely close to the Atlantic Ocean.
All rooms are air-conditioned and beautifully decorated, as well as a free minibar (in the first supply), a work desk and a private bathroom. Perfect for travelers coming here for the summer, since many hotels in Berlin do not have AC on their rooms (yet!). #globalwarming

With units in Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg, Linnen is one of the best options Berlin has. In Mitte, all units include a fully equipped kitchen, allowing you to prepare your own meals. Dishwasher and kettle are also provided.
We personally tested the Prenzlauer Berg unit and it was one of the best nights we had in Berlin. Since quality is taking very seriously by the staff of Linnen, we’re sure you’ll have nothing but the best there.
Nikolai Residence Hotels in Mitte
Our final option in this list of hotels in Mitte is the only one inside the oldest area of Berlin. Nikolaiviertel is the only remaining area of medieval Berlin. This area is from around 1200.
All the rooms in this hotel are stylish and modern even though the area is almost 900 years old. They all have a flat-screen TV, seating area, minibar and private bathroom with shower, hairdryer and free toiletries. If you’re coming to Berlin in December, one of the cutests Christmas Markets happens around the hotel.
