Strassenbräu is a craft beer bar in Friedrichshain that has one of the most exciting menus we have seen in the bars around town. Whether you a beer curious or a pro, you’ll like to try out the entire list there. I know we almost did this when we first visited the place.
The craft beer bar and brewery opened to the public back in 2015. And its founder, Timo Thoennißen, has a mission to bring different beers, ales, stouts, and anything else possible to the Berlin beer drinkers. And they are doing this with a lot of success as you can see on the picture we took there on a cold November night.
Since they brew their own beers there at Neue Bahnhofstrasse, they have all the tools to challenge German beer orthodoxy, and this is why we went there at first. But, of course, they have some international beers on their taps. But, differently from other craft beer bars that we covered here, I felt like the focus at Strassenbräu is on their own beers. Since they are great, I can totally understand this way of thinking.

Strassenbräu can be found on the map below. They are open from 17:00 until 01:00, from Monday to Thursday. Fridays and Saturdays, there open from 14:00 to 02:00, and, on Sundays, you can grab some craft beers from 14:00 until 01:00.
They have beer tastings, teach you how to brew your own beer, and you can even take their beers home on the one-liter bottle. If you don’t know Strassenbräu, you know now that you need to drink some beers there.
